One of União Cedrense FSCMZ:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of EC Aleluia:s goal. Telmo Mattos didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Telmo Matos went, in the 31st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. If Luiz Fernando Meira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Telmo Mattos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rubens Santos in the 43rd minute of the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Horácio Torres to strike the kick off in the second half. When Rubens Santos came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the União Cedrense FSCMZ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rubens Santos couldn't finish the play. Luiz Fernando Meira was extremely unlucky when he, in the 82nd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Rubens Santos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Telmo Mattos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luiz Fernando Meira ran back to his position shaking his head. União Cedrense FSCMZ played a much better game than EC Aleluia and deserved their victory. The EC Aleluia players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
