Marquinhos Gerber breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Vivaldo Aparecido fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marquinhos Gerber having to interfere. 28 minutes into the game, Marco Guimarães was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Uirapuru's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Morore FC the free kick. Marco Guimarães hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Vivaldo Aparecido sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The throw-in from Gilberto Moreno in the 35th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Uirapuru's Marco Guimarães. Marquinhos Gerber made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marco Guimarães in the 36th minute of play. 37 minutes into the match, Vivaldo Aparecido notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Morore FC's Marquinhos Gerber. Marquinhos Gerber was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 41 minutes into the match, Vivaldo Aparecido had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marquinhos Gerber. Morore FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Vivaldo Aparecido was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. In the 45th minute Mário Fonseca shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marquinhos Gerber saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Giuseppe Maia made a kick off. Guto Tasso was extremely unlucky when he, in the 51st minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out.
