After 38 minutes of play, Espinosa AD's Valdo Mangueira made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Vânderson Silveira was left in no man's land by his defense there! Wanderson Loureiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vânderson Silveira having to interfere.

When the match clock showed 51 minutes, the score became 2-1 when Valdo Mangueira sped through Futebologia S.C's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Vânderson Silveira. Emanuel Moraes blasted a shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Enéas Prata having to make a save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Emanuel Moraes got free with Enéas Prata in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 63rd minute, Luís Eduardo Fernandez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Enéas Prata took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abelardo Dracena, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Wanderson Loureiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 80 played minutes Espinosa AD got a freekick which was hit by Angelo Eger. When Emanuel Moraes came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the Futebologia S.C fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Emanuel Moraes couldn't finish the play.
