Spectators: 7240 (Terracing: 5432, Seating: 1665, VIP seats: 143) Beto Cardozo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bonifacio Maiorga in the 7th minute of the match. 13 minutes into the match, Ivo Alvarenga notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Campinho F.C's Doni Fernandez. Doni Fernandez was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Alexandre Velasco hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Aquidauana MS's Paulão Trevisan got a free kick in the 19th minute. Silvinho Abreu hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Bonifacio Maiorga succeeded in the game's 25th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-1. Doni Fernandez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tiago Garcia, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. Bonifacio Maiorga recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 38 minutes into the match, Campinho F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Tiago Garcia came free, but Doni Fernandez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Doni Fernandez stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tiago Garcia's shot from short distance in the 41st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ivo Alvarenga in the 43rd minute of play forced Campinho F.C's goalkeeper Doni Fernandez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Silvinho Abreu came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Aquidauana MS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Silvinho Abreu couldn't finish the play. After the first half Aquidauana MS were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bonifacio Maiorga made a kick off. 52 minutes into the game, Campinho F.C's Bonifacio Maiorga nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Beto Cardozo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. Beto Cardozo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bonifacio Maiorga in the 55th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Aquidauana MS's Hílton Cerezo got a free kick in the 56th minute. Beto Cardozo came out of the goal in the 56th minute to try and stop a shot by Campinho F.C's Joel Bueno. But to his dismay, Joel Bueno quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2. After a defensive mix-up in Aquidauana MS's zone, Joel Bueno stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Beto Cardozo came out of the goal and Joel Bueno tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ivo Alvarenga during the 63rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 63 played minutes Aquidauana MS got a freekick which was hit by Ivo Alvarenga. Ronaldinho Ferraz took the ball and in the 65 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Beto Cardozo. Beto Cardozo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-2. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Joel Bueno in the 69th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Beto Cardozo saved Aquidauana MS from getting behind. When Tiago Garcia came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Aquidauana MS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tiago Garcia couldn't finish the play. With his leg Doni Fernandez managed to avoid a goal in the 75thth minute, when Aquidauana MS's Tiago Garcia fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After 76 minutes of play, Campinho F.C's Bonifacio Maiorga made it 5-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Beto Cardozo was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 80th minute, Campinho F.C's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Ivo Alvarenga fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. 84 minutes into the match, Aquidauana MS's goal looked a bit too open when Bonifacio Maiorga came free, but Beto Cardozo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Ivo Alvarenga managed to get in a good position for a shot. Aquidauana MS's supporters rose to their feet, but Ivo Alvarenga was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Doni Fernandez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. For all the effort they put into the match, the Aquidauana MS players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Campinho F.C.
