Seating: 1674, VIP seats: 144) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Giovani Moura started the match with the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mário Fonseca in the 5th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Carlos Fernando Veiga saved Remansu from getting behind. Mário Fonseca sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gilberto Branco during the 10th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Gilberto Branco kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. Laércio Novaes hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. Carlos Fernando Veiga showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mário Fonseca in the 19th minute of the match. Guto Tasso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 28th minute, Mário Fonseca got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Guto Tasso came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Uirapuru fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Guto Tasso couldn't finish the play. Uirapuru's Betão Lopes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Giovani Moura in the 38th minute of play. Mário Fonseca received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Carlos Fernando Veiga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mário Fonseca recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Uirapuru booed when Remansu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Laércio Novaes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.
In the 57th minute, Uirapuru's Mário Fonseca ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Carlos Fernando Veiga. Carlos Fernando Veiga yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-2. Remansu's defense didn't have a chance, in the 66th minute, when Mário Fonseca scored to the left of an out of position Carlos Fernando Veiga, making the score, 0-3. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Mário Fonseca managed to get in a good position for a shot. Uirapuru's supporters rose to their feet, but Mário Fonseca was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Carlos Fernando Veiga breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mário Fonseca in the 84th minute of play forced Remansu's goalkeeper Carlos Fernando Veiga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tomé Baptista took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 90th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Carlos Fernando Veiga. Remansu's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Mário Fonseca received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Carlos Fernando Veiga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Uirapuru's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
