Spectators: 5002 (Terracing: 4001, Seating: 1001, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Wanderson Loureiro took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 6th minute, Wanderson Loureiro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Beto Cardozo was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Ivo Alvarenga received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Enéas Prata came out and tried to block the shot, but Ivo Alvarenga slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 10th minute. After a rather tough play, Espinosa AD's Manoel Amaral got a free kick in the 13th minute. Aquidauana MS's Beto Cardozo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wanderson Loureiro in the 17th minute of play. 18 minutes into the match, Aquidauana MS's goal looked a bit too open when Wanderson Loureiro came free, but Beto Cardozo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 19 minutes into the game, Hílton Cerezo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Aquidauana MS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Espinosa AD the free kick. Hílton Cerezo hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. In the 21st minute, Hílton Cerezo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Beto Cardozo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wanderson Loureiro in the 26th minute of the match. 33 minutes into the match, Espinosa AD's goal looked a bit too open when Ivo Alvarenga came free, but Enéas Prata reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Valdo Mangueira's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Beto Cardozo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 38th minute of play. Ivo Alvarenga blasted a shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Enéas Prata having to make a save. Alexandre Velasco struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Enéas Prata didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Aquidauana MS. Ivo Alvarenga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Enéas Prata tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The wind increased when Ivo Alvarenga made the kick off in the second half. Espinosa AD's Valdo Mangueira got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 60th minute of the match Fernandinho de Queiroz shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Beto Cardozo showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Beto Cardozo made a fantastic save in the 63rd minute, when Valdo Mangueira sent off a good shot on target. In the 65th minute, Clemente Mazza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alexandre Velasco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Ivo Alvarenga came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Aquidauana MS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ivo Alvarenga couldn't finish the play. Beto Cardozo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Valdo Mangueira in the 72nd minute. In the 79th minute Espinosa AD were awarded a corner. Ulysses Linhares went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Ulysses Linhares got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Beto Cardozo quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 80th minute, Ivo Alvarenga ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Enéas Prata was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. In the 83rd minute, Ivo Alvarenga got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Enéas Prata showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ivo Alvarenga in the 97th minute of the match.
