The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Paulão Trevisan during the 2nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Aquidauana MS getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Paulão Trevisan hit a great ball. Paulão Trevisan was shown his second yellow card after 5 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 6th minute, Paulão Trevisan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tiago Garcia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Marquinhos Gerber tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tiago Garcia in the 13th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marquinhos Gerber saved Morore FC from getting behind. Silvinho Abreu struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Marquinhos Gerber didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Aquidauana MS. Morore FC's Marquinhos Gerber played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tiago Garcia in the 27th minute of play. 29 minutes into the game, Tiago Garcia cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Marquinhos Gerber was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 32nd minute, Silvinho Abreu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Morore FC booed when Aquidauana MS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Silvinho Abreu didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 36th minute of the match Egídio Meireles sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Beto Cardozo skillfully saved the ball. Cauã Medeiros fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Beto Cardozo having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Morore FC's zone, Tiago Garcia stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marquinhos Gerber came out of the goal and Tiago Garcia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Giuseppe Maia made the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes into the game, Ivo Alvarenga recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Marquinhos Gerber. Ivo Alvarenga showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. When Tiago Garcia in the 62nd play minute got the chance to kick a hard shot on goal from short distance neither the defense or Marquinhos Gerber kept up with the ball and suddenly the score was 1-3 when the ball slipped into goal inside the left pole. If Ivo Alvarenga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 74 minutes in the game Ivo Alvarenga got a great opportunity which he missed by shooting outside the goal. Alexandre Velasco's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marquinhos Gerber read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 77th minute of play. Aquidauana MS's Tiago Garcia got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Hílton Cerezo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marquinhos Gerber made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tiago Garcia in the 81st minute. Marquinhos Gerber took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tiago Garcia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 84th minute, Aquidauana MS's Alexandre Velasco dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-4. When Aquidauana MS's Tiago Garcia in the 89th minute got a chance for a shot 89th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Morore FC's goalie prevented a goal. After a defensive mix-up in Morore FC's zone, Ivo Alvarenga stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marquinhos Gerber came out of the goal and Ivo Alvarenga tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Aquidauana MS played a much better game than Morore FC and deserved their victory. The Morore FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
