Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Jorginho Domingues took the kick off in the first half of the match. When Geraldo Braga came up free with the goalie in the 3rd minute, the Linhares FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Geraldo Braga couldn't finish the play. In the 4th minute, Durval Nogueira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nuno Leão received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Ediberto Sena tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ediberto Sena made a fantastic save in the 12th minute, when César de Carvalho sent off a good shot on target. After having played for 22 minutes, Donato Baiano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Linhares FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Donato Baiano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 26 minutes into the game, Rodolfo Brodel was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Alegre EC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Linhares FC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Alegre EC's Rodolfo Brodel got a free kick in the 26th minute. If Geraldo Braga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ediberto Sena came out of the goal in the 31st minute to try and stop a shot by Linhares FC's Nuno Leão. But to his dismay, Nuno Leão quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Ediberto Sena stood somewhat misplaced when Donato Baiano came free in front of goal and shot 2-0 to the left of him in the 34 minute. In the 39th minute, Alegre EC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Donato Baiano fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 41st minute of the match Tales Recife sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Toninho Barros skillfully saved the ball. Toninho Barros took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jorginho Domingues, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 45th minute, Geraldo Braga got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 48 minutes of play, Alegre EC's Jorginho Domingues made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Toninho Barros was left in no man's land by his defense there! Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Oswaldo Sena to strike the kick off in the second half. When Jorginho Domingues came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Alegre EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jorginho Domingues couldn't finish the play. Linhares FC's Toninho Barros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jorginho Domingues in the 57th minute of play. Toninho Barros showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jorginho Domingues in the 58th minute of the match. 60 minutes into the match, Nuno Leão notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Alegre EC's Ediberto Sena. Ediberto Sena was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Linhares FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 66th minute, when Jorginho Domingues scored to the left of an out of position Toninho Barros, making the score, 3-2. A hard shot by Lauro Meireles from long distance, 71 minutes into the match, got Toninho Barros's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Geraldo Braga kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. With a little luck, Linhares FC's Toninho Barros got control of the ball when Giovani Catarinense tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nuno Leão in the 75th minute of play forced Alegre EC's goalkeeper Ediberto Sena to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Giovani Catarinense in the 77thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Toninho Barros, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Toninho Barros made an important save on a dangerous shot by Giovani Catarinense in the 78th minute. Toninho Barros showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jorginho Domingues in the 81st minute of the match. When Linhares FC's Donato Baiano in the 85th minute got a chance for a shot 85th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Alegre EC's goalie prevented a goal. Serafim Siqueira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Toninho Barros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Geraldo Braga struck a weak shot in the 97th minute. Ediberto Sena didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Linhares FC. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Linhares FC had played much better football throughout.
