Emílio Veloso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Filipe Veloso, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. Filipe Veloso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emílio Veloso having to interfere. In the 16th minute the ball was on its way in behind Casa Verde Alta's goalkeeper Horácio Cerezo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Casa Verde Alta's Horácio Cerezo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save Casa Verde Alta from getting a goal against them. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jorginho da Rocha in the 19th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Horácio Cerezo saved Casa Verde Alta from getting behind. Emílio Veloso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ronaldinho de Lima in the 21st minute of play. CORINTHIANS OURINHENSE's Vicente Favoretto suffered a sprained foot after 27 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Diamantino Paraense's late challenge caught a CORINTHIANS OURINHENSE's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Diamantino Paraense helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Casa Verde Alta getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Diamantino Paraense hit a great ball. In the 29th minute, Casa Verde Alta's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Luís Fabiano Antunes fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Jorginho da Rocha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Horácio Cerezo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Filipe Veloso's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Emílio Veloso was relentless in the 49th minute of the game. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

Emílio Veloso came out of the goal and Filipe Veloso tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 81 minutes in the game, Ronaldinho de Lima fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Emílio Veloso having to interfere.
