Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Mané Penha started the match with the kick off. In the 8th minute, Alegre EC's Durval Nogueira seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Durval Nogueira the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Alegre EC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Durval Nogueira had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Luizão Trigo shot the penalty kick right outside the post. Giovani Catarinense received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Enéas Perez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 20th minute Mané Penha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ediberto Sena saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Humberto Sampaio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ediberto Sena having to interfere. Ediberto Sena showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mané Penha in the 24th minute of the match. Ediberto Sena took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mané Penha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Mané Penha came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Geração Futebol 2000 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mané Penha couldn't finish the play. 34 minutes into the match, Giovani Catarinense notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Geração Futebol 2000's Enéas Perez. Enéas Perez was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Abelardo de Andrade kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. Mané Penha struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Ediberto Sena didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Geração Futebol 2000. Alegre EC's Ediberto Sena proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save Alegre EC from getting a goal against them. Giovani Catarinense sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.
With a little luck, Geração Futebol 2000's Enéas Perez got control of the ball when Giovani Catarinense tried to sneak it across the goal line. Gerson Guerra hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. When Giovani Catarinense came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Alegre EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Giovani Catarinense couldn't finish the play. Rodolfo Brodel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Enéas Perez having to interfere. After 59 played minutes Alegre EC got a freekick which was hit by Rodolfo Brodel. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Giovani Catarinense managed to get in a good position for a shot. Alegre EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Giovani Catarinense was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Enéas Perez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With his leg Enéas Perez managed to avoid a goal in the 66thth minute, when Alegre EC's Giovani Catarinense fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Giovani Catarinense got free with Enéas Perez in the 68th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The audience thought a goal was coming when Serafim Siqueira got free with Enéas Perez in the 70th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Humberto Sampaio might have been able to make a better finish in the 74th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ediberto Sena. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Humberto Sampaio ran back to his position shaking his head. 75 minutes into the game, Geração Futebol 2000's Mané Penha nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ediberto Sena made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Giovani Catarinense received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Enéas Perez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Giovani Catarinense struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. Enéas Perez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Alegre EC. Olívio Maciel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Enéas Perez didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Giovani Catarinense went, in the 86th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. When the final whistle sounded Alegre EC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Geração Futebol 2000.
