Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Jorginho da Rocha made the kick off in the second half. Filipe Salgado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luís Fabiano Antunes in the 52nd minute of play. Luís Fabiano Antunes charged in rather forcefully in the 55th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Luís Fabiano Antunes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The referee ignored CORINTHIANS OURINHENSE's protests and gave Jorginho da Rocha a yellow card for diving instead. Jorginho da Rocha hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. 70 minutes into the match, CORINTHIANS OURINHENSE's Luís Fabiano Antunes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Filipe Salgado narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 91 minutes of play, CORINTHIANS OURINHENSE's Luís Fabiano Antunes made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Filipe Salgado was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 96th minute Luís Eduardo Guerra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emílio Veloso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. CORINTHIANS OURINHENSE's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
