With a little luck, CEARA SC's Doriva Donato got control of the ball when Donato Baiano tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 10thth minute of the game Oswaldo Sena who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but CEARA SC's Doriva Donato was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 13th minute, Donato Baiano ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Doriva Donato was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. In the 17th minute, Roger Proença hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 18 minutes into the game, João Francisco Ribeiro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Linhares FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave CEARA SC the free kick. A collision led to Linhares FC getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. The referee ignored CEARA SC's protests and gave Roger Proença a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, CEARA SC's Roger Proença got a free kick in the 23rd minute. Donato Baiano's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Doriva Donato read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 23rd minute of play. In the 30thth minute of the game Oswaldo Sena who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but CEARA SC's Doriva Donato was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 31 minutes into the match, CEARA SC's goalkeeper Doriva Donato had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nuno Leão. Doriva Donato made an important save on a dangerous shot by Donato Baiano in the 35th minute. 37 minutes into the match, CEARA SC's goal looked a bit too open when Oswaldo Sena came free, but Doriva Donato reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Doriva Donato made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nuno Leão in the 38th minute of play. In the 44th minute, Donato Baiano left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Linhares FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Oswaldo Sena made a kick off. Doriva Donato showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Oswaldo Sena, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Doriva Donato was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Doriva Donato stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nuno Leão's shot from short distance in the 80th minute. 82 minutes into the match, CEARA SC's goal looked a bit too open when Nuno Leão came free, but Doriva Donato reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
