Ediberto Sena took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fabinho Souza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 18th minute, Nildo Correia made a precise shot to the right of Ediberto Sena. Alegre EC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fabinho Souza during the 21st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Teteus's Fabinho Souza got a free kick in the 22nd minute. A collision led to Teteus getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Deivid da Silveira hit a great ball. In the 27th minute of the match Alegre EC got a corner. Teteus's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. With a little luck, Teteus's Carlo Cruz got control of the ball when Giovani Catarinense tried to sneak it across the goal line. Fabinho Souzas short, quick shot in the 67thth minute got Ediberto Sena to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Giovani Catarinense in the 68th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Carlo Cruz saved Teteus from getting behind. When Agostinho Dantas fell near the penalty area in the 72nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Teteus's protests and gave Agostinho Dantas a yellow card for diving instead. In the 72nd minute, Agostinho Dantas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
