CEARA SC's Doriva Donato played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luís Eduardo Guerra in the 29th minute of play. In the 33rd minute, Clóvis Monteiro reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Filipe Salgado. The goal made the score 1-1. The supporters of Iturama F.C. booed when CEARA SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Valdomiro de Castro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Clóvis Monteiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabiano Quintal in the 54th minute of play forced Iturama F.C.'s goalkeeper Filipe Salgado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Doriva Donato showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luís Eduardo Guerra in the 64th minute of the match. Clóvis Monteiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Filipe Salgado having to interfere. Fabiano Quintal struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. Filipe Salgado didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for CEARA SC. Fabiano Quintal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. CEARA SC's Fabiano Quintal got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Luís Eduardo Guerra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Doriva Donato tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. CEARA SC had played much better football throughout.
