Jean Silva hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Emerson Alvarenga's late challenge caught a CEARA SC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Emerson Alvarenga helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Iturama F.C.'s Emerson Alvarenga got a free kick in the 23rd minute. Fabiano Quintal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabiano Quintal in the 32nd minute of play forced Iturama F.C.'s goalkeeper Filipe Salgado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Jefferson da Cunha fell near the penalty area in the 33rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The crowd rose to their feet as Iturama F.C.'s Arthur Brasil slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Doriva Donato. That made the score 2-1 after 46 minutes of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jean Silva stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute Jean Silva shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Doriva Donato saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Valdomiro de Castro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpected shot in the 66th minute by Anderson Vieira got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Jorge Moraes, 71 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Valdomiro de Castro kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. 91 minutes into the match, CEARA SC's goal looked a bit too open when Arthur Brasil came free, but Doriva Donato reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
