Tupi's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Linhares FC the free kick. In the 7th minute, Matías Veloso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Donato Baiano in the 11thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Luciano Cruz, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. With an all-out effort, Linhares FC's Luciano Cruz threw himself towards the right post 13 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Oswaldo Sena, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Geraldo Braga hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Toninho Barros showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fausto Salgado, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Matías Veloso got his second yellow card in the match during the 22nd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 22nd match minute, Tupi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Matías Veloso to maneuver through the defense. Oswaldo Sena sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nuno Leão received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Luciano Cruz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 28th match minute, Tupi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Willian Arruda to maneuver through the defense. Luciano Cruz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nuno Leão in the 29th minute of the match. 33 minutes into the game, Afonsinho de Souza was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Donato Baiano ran back to his position shaking his head. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling João Francisco Ribeiro in the 36th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Luciano Cruz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Geraldo Braga's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Luciano Cruz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 37th minute of play. Geraldo Braga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luciano Cruz having to interfere. Donato Baiano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Luciano Cruz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luciano Cruz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oswaldo Sena in the 47th minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Oswaldo Sena to strike the kick off in the second half. Nuno Leão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luciano Cruz having to interfere. 54 minutes into the game, Donato Baiano cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Luciano Cruz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. João Francisco Ribeiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Luciano Cruz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 58th minute Donato Baiano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luciano Cruz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 60 minutes, Donato Baiano made it 3-0 with a short kick to the right side. Tupi's Luciano Cruz tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Oswaldo Sena fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luciano Cruz having to interfere. If Luizão Cosme had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Luciano Cruz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Oswaldo Sena went, in the 69th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. Oswaldo Sena took the ball and in the 75 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Luciano Cruz. Luciano Cruz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. The audience was convinced that Nuno Leão's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Luciano Cruz was relentless in the 78th minute of the game. Willian Arruda charged in rather forcefully in the 79th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Willian Arruda the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Luciano Cruz didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Linhares FC's Oswaldo Sena shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 6-0 in the ordered_time% minute. Fausto Salgado's late challenge caught a Linhares FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fausto Salgado helped the player get up and apologised. After 86 played minutes Tupi got a freekick which was hit by Fausto Salgado. Luciano Cruz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Donato Baiano, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. Geraldo Braga recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Nuno Leão struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Luciano Cruz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Linhares FC. There was no doubt that Linhares FC were the better team. Linhares FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
