After 11 played minutes, CORINTHIANS OURINHENSE's Lenílson de Moraes shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Filipe Salgado came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in CORINTHIANS OURINHENSE reached it. Luís Fabiano Antunes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Filipe Salgado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Emílio Veloso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jean Silva in the 18th minute of the match. Jean Silva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Emílio Veloso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marcinho Furtado got free with Emílio Veloso in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Jean Silva came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the Iturama F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jean Silva couldn't finish the play. If Jorginho da Rocha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The wind increased when Jorginho da Rocha made the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in CORINTHIANS OURINHENSE's zone, Jean Silva stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Emílio Veloso came out of the goal and Jean Silva tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Emílio Veloso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arthur Brasil in the 66th minute of play. In the 69th match minute, CORINTHIANS OURINHENSE was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Romeu Sampaio to maneuver through the defense. After 72 minutes, Marcinho Furtado mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Iturama F.C. and the CORINTHIANS OURINHENSE players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 74th minute, Arthur Brasil hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 76 minutes, Luís Fabiano Antunes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. CORINTHIANS OURINHENSE's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luís Fabiano Antunes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Arthur Brasil managed to get in a good position for a shot. Iturama F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Arthur Brasil was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Emílio Veloso breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a little luck, Iturama F.C.'s Filipe Salgado got control of the ball when Luís Fabiano Antunes tried to sneak it across the goal line. 87 minutes into the game, Jean Silva cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Emílio Veloso was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.
