The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Filipe Salgado showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. If Jean Silva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Iturama F.C. booed when Tupi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edgar Hermes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tupi's Luciano Cruz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save Tupi from getting a goal against them. Filipe Salgado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Matías Veloso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Filipe Salgado stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jaime Mangueira's shot from short distance in the 19th minute. In the 21st minute, Raphael Valadares hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 22nd minute, Jean Silva got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 27th match minute, Tupi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edgar Hermes to maneuver through the defense. 28 minutes into the match, Tupi's goalkeeper Luciano Cruz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Arthur Brasil. After having played for 31 minutes, Jaime Mangueira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tupi's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jaime Mangueira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Luciano Cruz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jean Silva in the 35th minute of the match. Jaime Mangueira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Filipe Salgado having to interfere. If Matías Veloso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 42 minutes into the match, Matías Veloso had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Filipe Salgado. Iturama F.C.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Matías Veloso was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Matías Veloso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jaime Mangueira to strike the kick off in the second half. Filipe Salgado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jaime Mangueira in the 57th minute of play. Matías Veloso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Filipe Salgado having to interfere. After 68 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Iturama F.C.! Jean Silva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Jean Silva managed to get in a good position for a shot. Iturama F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Jean Silva was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Luciano Cruz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Willian Arruda hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. In the 79th minute of the match Jorge Moraes shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Luciano Cruz showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 80th minute Arthur Brasil shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luciano Cruz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arthur Brasil struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. Luciano Cruz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Iturama F.C.. Matías Veloso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Filipe Salgado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 87 minutes into the match, Iturama F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Jaime Mangueira came free, but Filipe Salgado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 90 minutes, Arthur Brasil managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Iturama F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Arthur Brasil was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Tupi's zone, Arthur Brasil stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luciano Cruz came out of the goal and Arthur Brasil tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Tupi players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
