Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) 5 minutes into the match, Linhares FC's goal looked a bit too open when Arthur Brasil came free, but Toninho Barros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 8th minute, Geraldo Braga managed to get in a good position for a shot. Linhares FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Geraldo Braga was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Filipe Salgado breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dito Ramalho's late challenge caught a Iturama F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dito Ramalho helped the player get up and apologised. 17 minutes into the game, one of Linhares FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. 24 minutes into the match, Iturama F.C.'s goalkeeper Filipe Salgado had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Donato Baiano. Filipe Salgado was out of position in the 26 minute of play, and Geraldo Braga capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Geraldo Braga really showed his touch with that goal: 2-1. With his leg Filipe Salgado managed to avoid a goal in the 29thth minute, when Linhares FC's Oswaldo Sena fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Arthur Brasil sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Linhares FC's Toninho Barros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arthur Brasil in the 39th minute of play. In the 40th minute, Donato Baiano left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Linhares FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. When Linhares FC's Geraldo Braga in the 44th minute got a chance for a shot 44th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Oswaldo Sena was the one to do the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Oswaldo Sena in the 53rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Filipe Salgado saved Iturama F.C. from getting behind. Toninho Barros was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 69th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Jefferson da Cunha. In the 72nd minute Oswaldo Sena shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Filipe Salgado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nuno Leão received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Filipe Salgado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Filipe Salgado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Geraldo Braga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nuno Leão in the 78th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Filipe Salgado prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Oswaldo Sena fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Filipe Salgado having to interfere. 86 minutes into the game, Oswaldo Sena cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-1. Filipe Salgado was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Oswaldo Sena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 93rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Iturama F.C.'s goalkeeper Filipe Salgado, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Jean Silva's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Toninho Barros was relentless in the 95th minute of the game. When Nuno Leão came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Linhares FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nuno Leão couldn't finish the play. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Linhares FC had played much better football throughout.
