But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fernandinho Luz couldn't finish the play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Wilson Tavares during the 19th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The Ihum SS fans' excitement grew in the 35th match minute when Ihum SS's Horácio Almeida looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Fernandinho Godoi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Adrianinho Neiva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tiago Gabriel Bertassi made a kick off.
