After 3 played minutes Botafogo Star Clube got a freekick which was hit by Adelino Freire. After some careless play in the Jacareipe defense, Victor Carioca kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Luiz Fernando Ceresso. The supporters of Botafogo Star Clube booed when Jacareipe was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Válbson Arantes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jacareipe's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
