The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 25 minutes into the match, Creche Esporte Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Edinho Antunes came free, but Edgard Couto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gino Sampaio was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd minute Wilson Alvarenga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erasmo Matorin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Erasmo Matorin came out of the goal in the 56th minute to try and stop a shot by Creche Esporte Clube's Wilson Alvarenga. But to his dismay, Wilson Alvarenga quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. After a rather tough play, E.C. SERRASUL's Kléberson Silva got a free kick in the 59th minute. In the 70th minute the ball was on its way in behind Creche Esporte Clube's goalkeeper Edgard Couto, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alessandro Paraibano in the 76th minute of play forced E.C. SERRASUL's goalkeeper Erasmo Matorin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 77th minute, Gino Sampaio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Creche Esporte Clube's Gino Sampaio in the 79th minute got a chance for a shot 79th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye E.C. SERRASUL players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Creche Esporte Clube.
