With a little luck, São Paulo Futebol Clube's Sandrinho Mello got control of the ball when Lucas Loureiro tried to sneak it across the goal line. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ivo Bastos made a kick off. If Lucas Loureiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Benê Freitas during the 54th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The goalkeeper, Durval Borges, was totally fooled by São Paulo Futebol Clube's Armandinho Santos, who 78 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ivo Bastos in the 81st minute of play forced Bocaiuval SS's goalkeeper Durval Borges to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sandrinho Mello showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dieguinho Barros in the 84th minute of the match. Benê Freitas hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. If Lucas Loureiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
