Gordo Feio FC's Eriberto da Costa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 6th minute of the match, managed to save Gordo Feio FC from getting a goal against them. If Sandrinho Baptista had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bruno Prestes hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. Dorival Brasil fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dedê Palmeira having to interfere. If Dorival Brasil had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 30 minutes into the match, Furia Rubi's goal looked a bit too open when Cristóvão Souza came free, but Dedê Palmeira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cido Melo in the 35th minute of play forced Gordo Feio FC's goalkeeper Eriberto da Costa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luís Fernando Moura took the ball and in the 39 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dedê Palmeira. Dedê Palmeira dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Celso Corrêa hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. The Furia Rubi players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Gordo Feio FC were winning 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Luís Fernando Moura was the one to do the kick off. Telmo Camargo took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 58th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Eriberto da Costa. Gordo Feio FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After a rather tough play, Furia Rubi's Vivaldo Cearense got a free kick in the 59th minute. Dorival Brasil recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dorival Brasils short, quick shot in the 63rdth minute got Dedê Palmeira to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Gordo Feio FC's Eriberto da Costa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sandrinho Baptista in the 65th minute of play. Cristóvão Souza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 72 minutes into the match, Gordo Feio FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gerson Palmeira came free, but Eriberto da Costa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dedê Palmeira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luís Fernando Moura in the 77th minute of the match. If Sandrinho Baptista had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Gordo Feio FC getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Bruninho Mangueira hit a great ball. Eriberto da Costa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sandrinho Baptista, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dorival Brasil recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dedê Palmeira didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 90th minute, which inside left pole to 0-2. Sandrinho Baptista struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Eriberto da Costa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Furia Rubi. Sandrinho Baptista received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 98th minute. Eriberto da Costa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Gordo Feio FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
