Acácio Sabóia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Sandrinho Mello tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Enrique Machado's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sandrinho Mello was relentless in the 7th minute of the game. After a rather tough play, São Paulo Futebol Clube's Fernandinho Costa got a free kick in the 11th minute. When Benê Freitas fell near the penalty area in the 13th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored São Paulo Futebol Clube's protests and gave Benê Freitas a yellow card for diving instead. After 13 played minutes São Paulo Futebol Clube got a freekick which was hit by Benê Freitas. Richard Koehler, 14 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Acácio Sabóia in the 16th minute of play forced São Paulo Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Sandrinho Mello to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, São Paulo Futebol Clube's Benê Freitas got a free kick in the 17th minute. After recieving a nice pass, Tuive's Richard Koehler tried to score from far away in the 18th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. When Acácio Sabóia came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Tuive fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Acácio Sabóia couldn't finish the play. Cristian Tande hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. The supporters of São Paulo Futebol Clube booed when Tuive was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Naldo Gaspar didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Ivo Bastos managed to get in a good position for a shot. São Paulo Futebol Clube's supporters rose to their feet, but Ivo Bastos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rafael de Sena breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Enrique Machado's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sandrinho Mello read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 40th minute of play. Acácio Sabóia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 46th minute the ball was on its way in behind São Paulo Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Sandrinho Mello, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Luizão Paraíba took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 64th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Sandrinho Mello. São Paulo Futebol Clube's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 65th match minute, São Paulo Futebol Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Percy Gonçalves to maneuver through the defense. 71 minutes into the game, Enrique Machado recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Sandrinho Mello. Enrique Machado showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-3. In the 83rd minute, Acácio Sabóia made a precise shot to the right of Sandrinho Mello. São Paulo Futebol Clube's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. Sandrinho Mello didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Acácio Sabóia went, in the 86th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-5 was the resulting score. Sandrinho Mello made an important save on a dangerous shot by Acácio Sabóia in the 92nd minute. A collision led to São Paulo Futebol Clube getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Fernandinho Costa hit a great ball. In the 94th minute, Enrique Machado reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Sandrinho Mello. The goal made the score 0-6. Tuive's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
