Jeferson Montenegro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gino Sampaio in the 18th minute of the match. Wilson Alvarenga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Jeferson Montenegro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Dênis Prado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 22nd match minute, Creche Esporte Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alessandro Paraibano to maneuver through the defense. Jeferson Montenegro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gino Sampaio in the 25th minute of play. Edgard Couto didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dênis Prado went, in the 30th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Wilson Alvarenga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jeferson Montenegro having to interfere. Edgard Couto made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alex Arósio in the 42nd minute. Gino Sampaio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Jeferson Montenegro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 45th match minute, Floripa Runners was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Artur Neves to maneuver through the defense. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gino Sampaio to make the kick off. 58 minutes into the game, Dênis Prado cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Edgard Couto was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Gino Sampaio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Wilson Alvarenga might have been able to make a better finish in the 67th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jeferson Montenegro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Wilson Alvarenga ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 69th minute, Gino Sampaio reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Jeferson Montenegro. The goal made the score 2-2. After a rather tough play, Floripa Runners's Silvinho Sabóia got a free kick in the 72nd minute. In the 73rd minute of the match Carlinhos das Neves shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jeferson Montenegro showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 75th minute of the match Wanderson Barreto shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jeferson Montenegro showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Alfredo Cardoso's late challenge caught a Creche Esporte Clube's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alfredo Cardoso helped the player get up and apologised. After 76 played minutes Floripa Runners got a freekick which was hit by Alfredo Cardoso. Dênis Prado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edgard Couto having to interfere. The supporters of Floripa Runners booed when Creche Esporte Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gino Sampaio didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 86th minute Alex Arósio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edgard Couto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Pedro Luís Simões during the 89th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Floripa Runners's supporters rose to their feet, but Alex Arósio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Edgard Couto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience was convinced that Gino Sampaio's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jeferson Montenegro was relentless in the 99th minute of the game. Floripa Runners were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Creche Esporte Clube for a fine match.
