In the 3rd match minute, Imortal Tricolor was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gabriel de Medeiros to maneuver through the defense. In the 4th minute of the match Raimundo Vasconcelos sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Adrianinho Neto skillfully saved the ball. After some careless play in the Imortal Tricolor defense, Wágner Simão kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Adrianinho Neto. The Imortal Tricolor fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Adrianinho Neto should have stopped the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 10th minute, Ronaldo Fenomeno managed to get in a good position for a shot. Orlando's supporters rose to their feet, but Ronaldo Fenomeno was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Adrianinho Neto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Wágner Simão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adrianinho Neto having to interfere. When Imortal Tricolor's Yuri Goiano in the 15th minute got a chance for a shot 15th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Orlando's goalie prevented a goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ronaldo Fenomeno during the 16th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 16 played minutes Orlando got a freekick which was hit by Ronaldo Fenomeno. Yuri Goiano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vágner Paiva having to interfere. Adrianinho Neto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wágner Simão in the 19th minute of the match. Adrianinho Neto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Beto Cerezo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 23 minutes, Yuri Goiano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Imortal Tricolor's supporters crossed their fingers, but Yuri Goiano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Yuri Goiano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vágner Paiva having to interfere. Adrianinho Neto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ronaldo Fenomeno, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 37 minutes into the game, Ronaldo Fenomeno cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Adrianinho Neto was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 42 played minutes Orlando got a freekick which was hit by Ronaldo Fenomeno. Adrianinho Neto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Beto Cerezo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

In the 54th minute, Beto Cerezo made a precise shot to the right of Adrianinho Neto. Imortal Tricolor's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. In the 59th minute, Magno Cardoso ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Adrianinho Neto was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. In the 62nd minute, one of Imortal Tricolor:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Imortal Tricolor. With his leg Adrianinho Neto managed to avoid a goal in the 68thth minute, when Orlando's Beto Cerezo fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Imortal Tricolor's Adrianinho Neto proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 71st minute of the match, managed to save Imortal Tricolor from getting a goal against them. When Magno Cardoso came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Orlando fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Magno Cardoso couldn't finish the play. In the 75th minute, Gabriel de Medeiros hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Adrianinho Neto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wágner Simão in the 81st minute of play. 82 minutes into the game, Edmílson Mota was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Imortal Tricolor's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Orlando the free kick. Edmílson Mota kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. Wágner Simão received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Adrianinho Neto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Adrianinho Neto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ronaldo Fenomeno in the 96th minute of play. The supporters of Orlando booed when Imortal Tricolor was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ricardinho de Lara didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match was over Orlando could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Imortal Tricolor throughout the match.
