In the 14th minute, Eugênio Domingues ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Lauro Abreu was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Lauro Abreu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Léo Neto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Eugênio Domingues might have been able to make a better finish in the 20th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lauro Abreu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Eugênio Domingues ran back to his position shaking his head. After a rather tough play, Jaudilandia AD's Elias Branco got a free kick in the 21st minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, David Massa managed to get in a good position for a shot. S.E.Palmeiras's supporters rose to their feet, but David Massa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ernani Trancoso breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 31 minutes into the game, Jaudilandia AD's Eugênio Domingues nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Lauro Abreu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Ernani Trancoso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from David Massa in the 36th minute of play. Lauro Abreu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Léo Neto in the 40th minute of play. If Eugênio Domingues had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The wind increased when David Massa made the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, David Massa notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Jaudilandia AD's Ernani Trancoso. Ernani Trancoso was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. David Massa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jaudilandia AD's Ernani Trancoso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fellipe Vidal in the 66th minute of play. After 66 minutes of play, S.E.Palmeiras's Fellipe Vidal made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ernani Trancoso was left in no man's land by his defense there! Tostão Baptista's late challenge caught a S.E.Palmeiras's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tostão Baptista helped the player get up and apologised. In the 77th minute, Tostão Baptista hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ernani Trancoso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from David Massa in the 78th minute of play. 81 minutes into the match, Jaudilandia AD's goal looked a bit too open when Fellipe Vidal came free, but Ernani Trancoso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lauro Abreu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eugênio Domingues in the 83rd minute of play. In the 88th minute Eugênio Domingues shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lauro Abreu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eugênio Domingues got in the 90th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Lauro Abreu handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. In the 91st match minute, S.E.Palmeiras was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Antônio Carlos Lago to maneuver through the defense. S.E.Palmeiras's Lauro Abreu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eugênio Domingues in the 92nd minute of play. Eugênio Domingues sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, S.E.Palmeiras's Lauro Abreu got control of the ball when Léo Neto tried to sneak it across the goal line. S.E.Palmeiras succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Jaudilandia AD had controlled the match.
