The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Rafinha Berger kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. In the 4th minute of the match Valério Sergipano sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Leopoldo Britto skillfully saved the ball. Universo Isca SC's Zé Pedro Rodrigues played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ciro Félix in the 6th minute of play. With a little luck, Arruda Futebol Clube's Leopoldo Britto got control of the ball when Mário Souza tried to sneak it across the goal line. 11 minutes in the game, Elias Lima dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Arruda Futebol Clube's Leopoldo Britto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fabrício Paulista in the 14th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elias Lima in the 17th minute of play forced Universo Isca SC's goalkeeper Zé Pedro Rodrigues to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 19 minutes into the match, Universo Isca SC's goal looked a bit too open when Ciro Félix came free, but Zé Pedro Rodrigues reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. José Carlos Sanches's late challenge caught a Arruda Futebol Clube's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. José Carlos Sanches helped the player get up and apologised. When Elias Lima came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Arruda Futebol Clube fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Elias Lima couldn't finish the play. Zé Pedro Rodrigues came out of the goal in the 26th minute to try and stop a shot by Arruda Futebol Clube's Elias Lima. But to his dismay, Elias Lima quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 36th minute, Universo Isca SC's Fabrício Paulista ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Leopoldo Britto. Leopoldo Britto yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. 45 minutes into the match, Universo Isca SC's goal looked a bit too open when Elias Lima came free, but Zé Pedro Rodrigues reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Fabrício Paulista made a kick off. If Mário Souza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. In the 83rd minute, Mário Souza left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Universo Isca SC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. When Olavo Paulista came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Universo Isca SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Olavo Paulista couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Mário Souza managed to get in a good position for a shot. Universo Isca SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Mário Souza was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Leopoldo Britto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Arruda Futebol Clube's Leopoldo Britto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fabrício Paulista in the 92nd minute of play. 97 minutes into the match, Universo Isca SC's Mário Souza sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Leopoldo Britto narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When the referee ended the match the Universo Isca SC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
