The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 6th match minute, Jaudilandia AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tostão Baptista to maneuver through the defense. Ernani Trancoso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabrício Paulista in the 8th minute of play. Olavo Paulista fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ernani Trancoso having to interfere. Zé Pedro Rodrigues came out of the goal in the 13th minute to try and stop a shot by Jaudilandia AD's Léo Neto. But to his dismay, Léo Neto quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After a rather tough play, Universo Isca SC's Valério Sergipano got a free kick in the 16th minute. Zé Pedro Rodrigues showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eugênio Domingues in the 18th minute of the match. Kauan da Costa hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Léo Neto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Evandro Luz kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Universo Isca SC defense, Eugênio Domingues kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Zé Pedro Rodrigues. The Universo Isca SC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Zé Pedro Rodrigues should have stopped the shot. Fabrício Paulista did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-2 to the left of a surprised Ernani Trancoso 35 minutes into the match. Fabrício Paulista blasted a shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ernani Trancoso having to make a save. Ernani Trancoso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fabrício Paulista, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 44 played minutes Universo Isca SC got a freekick which was hit by Olavo Paulista.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Eugênio Domingues was the one to do the kick off. Jaudilandia AD's Ernani Trancoso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fabrício Paulista in the 56th minute of play. Mário Souza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Ernani Trancoso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tostão Baptista hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. 63 minutes into the match, Jaudilandia AD's goal looked a bit too open when Mário Souza came free, but Ernani Trancoso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Mário Souza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 68th minute, Gláuber de Azevedo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ernani Trancoso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mário Souza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kauan da Costa during the 78th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 80 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Jaudilandia AD! In the 81st minute there was a penalty for Universo Isca SC. Valério Sergipano stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Ernani Trancoso. 4-2. After some careless play in the Universo Isca SC defense, Léo Neto kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Zé Pedro Rodrigues. The Universo Isca SC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Zé Pedro Rodrigues should have stopped the shot. Eugênio Domingues was extremely unlucky when he, in the 90th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. In the 96th minute, Rui da Fonseca hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jaudilandia AD's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
