With his leg Paulo José Mendes managed to avoid a goal in the 8thth minute, when PALESTRA ITÁLIA's Egídio Amaral fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Adolfo Edmondson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Paulo José Mendes made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when Egídio Amaral sent off a good shot on target. If Adolfo Edmondson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gandalf Fehér showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dino Viana, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. After a defensive mix-up in Real Label FC's zone, Adolfo Edmondson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Paulo José Mendes came out of the goal and Adolfo Edmondson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Egídio Amaral received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Paulo José Mendes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Egídio Amaral in the 38thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Paulo José Mendes, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Egídio Amaral sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 44th minute, Adolfo Edmondson fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Paulo José Mendes, passed just outside the right post. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dino Viana to make the kick off. Real Label FC's Paulo José Mendes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Egídio Amaral in the 52nd minute of play. Gandalf Fehér showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dino Viana, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dino Viana in the 57th minute of play forced PALESTRA ITÁLIA's goalkeeper Gandalf Fehér to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 58 minutes into the match, PALESTRA ITÁLIA's goal looked a bit too open when Luís Fabiano Paiva came free, but Gandalf Fehér reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 60th minute of the match Real Label FC got a corner. PALESTRA ITÁLIA's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Anderson da Fonseca ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Real Label FC's Hamílton Dionísio to fire away a dangerous shot which Gandalf Fehér despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 62nd minute, Jaime Capixaba got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to PALESTRA ITÁLIA getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Oséias Paulista hit a great ball. Egídio Amaral fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulo José Mendes having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adolfo Edmondson in the 70th minute of play forced Real Label FC's goalkeeper Paulo José Mendes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Real Label FC's Jaime Capixaba got a free kick in the 71st minute. After 76 minutes, Jaime Capixaba mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Real Label FC and the PALESTRA ITÁLIA players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 77 played minutes Real Label FC got a freekick which was hit by Jaime Capixaba. 88 minutes into the match, Real Label FC's goal looked a bit too open when Inacio Faxardo came free, but Paulo José Mendes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Aloísio Mendes fell near the penalty area in the 91st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored PALESTRA ITÁLIA's protests and gave Aloísio Mendes a yellow card for diving instead.
