One of Itaperu:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Carranca SS:s goal. Itaperu's Jerônimo Valadares proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 94th minute of the match, managed to save Itaperu from getting a goal against them. Adalberto Ferreira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jerônimo Valadares having to interfere. The Carranca SS players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
