When Ricardo Ribeiro fell near the penalty area in the 18th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SIQUEIRA COSTA FC's protests and gave Ricardo Ribeiro a yellow card for diving instead. Ricardo Ribeiro hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Cléberson Macedo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emanuel da Cunha having to interfere. A hard shot by Dinei Vasconcelos from long distance, 22 minutes into the match, got Emanuel da Cunha's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. When Ricardo Ribeiro was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 23 minutes had been played. Wágner de Brito recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Wágner de Brito received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Emanuel da Cunha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Emanuel da Cunha made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cléberson Macedo in the 33rd minute. If Aloísio Maia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 36th minute, Aloísio Maia got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. SIQUEIRA COSTA FC's Dênis Marquez got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jerônimo Valadares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dênis Marquez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of SIQUEIRA COSTA FC booed when Itaperu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luiz Fábio Moraes didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 43 minutes Itaperu's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Kiko Koehler who took care of the corner kick. A well-hit corner resulted in Dênis Marquez heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Pedro Luiz Dionísio hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Aloísio Maia to make the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Cléberson Macedo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Itaperu's supporters rose to their feet, but Cléberson Macedo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Emanuel da Cunha breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 55 minutes into the match, SIQUEIRA COSTA FC's goal looked a bit too open when Wágner de Brito came free, but Emanuel da Cunha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hudson Sabóia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jerônimo Valadares made a fantastic save in the 58th minute, when Aloísio Maia sent off a good shot on target. Pedro Luiz Dionísio's late challenge caught a SIQUEIRA COSTA FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Pedro Luiz Dionísio helped the player get up and apologised. Dênis Marquez charged in rather forcefully in the 66th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Aloísio Maia let the left foot speak when in front of goal in the 89th minute shot 0-2 at rihgt post. In the 94th minute of the match Mané Simão shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Emanuel da Cunha showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Dênis Marquez kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. SIQUEIRA COSTA FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
