Spectators: 7212 (Terracing: 5410, Seating: 1659, VIP seats: 143) Matheus Arruda started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. When Valdo Madureira came up free with the goalie in the 4th minute, the Bartolomeu EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Valdo Madureira couldn't finish the play. If Virgílio Favoretto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee felt a red card was in order, 26 minutes into the game, when Sílvio Luiz de Carvalho put in a rough tackle. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 26th minute of the game. One of Bartolomeu EC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Parana Clube:s goal. In the 30th minute, Matheus Arruda got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 34th play minute Valdo Madureira came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Paulo Aparecido. 1-0. If Olavo Maranhense had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Matheus Arruda struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Waldir Linhares didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Parana Clube. In the 44th minute Olavo Maranhense shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Waldir Linhares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Parana Clube's Virgílio Favoretto got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Waldir Linhares came out of the goal in the 48th minute to try and stop a shot by Parana Clube's Matheus Arruda. But to his dismay, Matheus Arruda quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1.

The wind increased when Valdo Madureira made the kick off in the second half. Matheus Arruda received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Waldir Linhares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Waldir Linhares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Matheus Arruda in the 66th minute of play. Olavo Maranhense's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 69thth minute, Waldir Linhares skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The audience was convinced that Valdo Madureira's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Paulo Aparecido was relentless in the 77th minute of the game. Bartolomeu EC's Waldir Linhares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Matheus Arruda in the 88th minute of play. Parana Clube's Matheus Arruda got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Waldir Linhares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Matheus Arruda, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. Valdo Madureira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulo Aparecido having to interfere. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
