The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Toninho Bezerra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Miguel Abreu having to interfere. If Jonas do Valle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Miguel Abreu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Toninho Bezerra in the 9th minute of the match. In the 11th minute, Tadeu de Amorim hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ivo Liras short, quick shot in the 14thth minute got Willian Messias to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Eng. Mecânica's Miguel Abreu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Toninho Bezerra in the 23rd minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Matías Arantes in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Willian Messias saved Ziguifrid Metal Time from getting behind. Ivo Lira could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Willian Messias made a huge save. Matías Arantes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Willian Messias came out of the goal in the 34th minute to try and stop a shot by Eng. Mecânica's Ivo Lira. But to his dismay, Ivo Lira quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Ziguifrid Metal Time's Willian Messias played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Matías Arantes in the 41st minute of play. In the 43rd minute, Dedé Dantas fired a really elegant long shot, but Willian Messias threw himself and managed to get hold of the ball just in front of the right post. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fernandinho Dante during the 44th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Fernandinho Dante hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. In the 45th minute, Zé Ceresso sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Eng. Mecânica's Miguel Abreu didn't even have to move. The supporters of Eng. Mecânica booed when Ziguifrid Metal Time was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 48 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tadeu de Amorim didn't get a good kick on the ball. Matías Arantes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 50th minute. Willian Messias tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Inácio Dias charged in rather forcefully in the 54th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Inácio Dias the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 54th match minute, Ziguifrid Metal Time was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Inácio Dias to maneuver through the defense. Ivo Lira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Willian Messias tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Willian Messias was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 73 played minutes Eng. Mecânica got a freekick which was hit by Silas de Amorim. In the 79th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ziguifrid Metal Time's goalkeeper Willian Messias, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jonas do Valle in the 80th minute of play forced Eng. Mecânica's goalkeeper Miguel Abreu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Jonas do Valle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eng. Mecânica were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Ziguifrid Metal Time for a fine match.
