In the 28th minute, José Maria Falcão got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Arthur Souto's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Abelardo Magalhães read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 29th minute of play. MaraBaly's Nico Secco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adrianinho Guedes in the 32nd minute of play. Abelardo Magalhães took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from José Maria Falcão, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 36th minute, Kiko Fantini left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The MaraBaly fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. After a defensive mix-up in Luzia FC's zone, Enrique Pires stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Abelardo Magalhães came out of the goal and Enrique Pires tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. José Maria Falcão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abelardo Magalhães having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Arthur Souto stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Nico Secco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Durval Paraense in the 53rd minute of the match. Durval Paraense fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nico Secco having to interfere. After a rather tough play, MaraBaly's Renan Sarmento got a free kick in the 56th minute. MaraBaly's Nico Secco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Durval Paraense in the 57th minute of play. Thanks to some nice moves Renan Sarmento could shoot a difficult shot in the 68th minute, which Abelardo Magalhães however easily saved by the left post. Abelardo Magalhães showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from José Maria Falcão, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. In the 74th minute José Maria Falcão shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abelardo Magalhães saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Luzia FC's zone, José Maria Falcão stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Abelardo Magalhães came out of the goal and José Maria Falcão tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jano Sampaio took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 87th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Abelardo Magalhães. Luzia FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Abelardo Magalhães took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from José Maria Falcão, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 97th minute Otávio Meirelles shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abelardo Magalhães saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the final whistle sounded MaraBaly left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Luzia FC.
