Spectators: 7256 (Terracing: 5443, Seating: 1669, VIP seats: 144) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Adrianinho Guedes took the kick off in the first half of the match. Fabrício Teles hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. The corner ended in Hortêncio Bezerra almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Luzia FC's Abelardo Magalhães did a great save. In the 9th minute Adrianinho Guedes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hortêncio Neiva saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 10 minutes into the game, Gargau's Nuno Pinho nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Abelardo Magalhães made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. After 15 played minutes Luzia FC got a freekick which was hit by Fabrício Teles. Nuno Pinho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Abelardo Magalhães made a huge save. In the 18th match minute, Gargau was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sílvio Luiz Gaúcho to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nuno Pinho got free with Abelardo Magalhães in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 32nd minute, Reynaldo de Castro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nuno Pinho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Abelardo Magalhães tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Reynaldo de Castro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gargau's supporters rose to their feet, but Reynaldo de Castro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Abelardo Magalhães breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Nuno Pinho in the 39thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Abelardo Magalhães, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Erik Godoi stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Nuno Pinho might have been able to make a better finish in the 51st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Abelardo Magalhães. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Nuno Pinho ran back to his position shaking his head. Luzia FC's Abelardo Magalhães played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nuno Pinho in the 51st minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Luzia FC's zone, Nuno Pinho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Abelardo Magalhães came out of the goal and Nuno Pinho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Abelardo Magalhães made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erik Godoi in the 54th minute of play. Adrianinho Guedes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Hortêncio Neiva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Murillo Alcântara during the 71st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Murillo Alcântara hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. Gargau's Hortêncio Neiva played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adrianinho Guedes in the 73rd minute of play. In the 75th minute Erik Godoi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abelardo Magalhães saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nuno Pinho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Júlio Bueno kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. Alberto Valladares took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 86th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Hortêncio Neiva. Gargau's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After 86 played minutes Gargau got a freekick which was hit by Murillo Alcântara. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adrianinho Guedes in the 89th minute of play forced Gargau's goalkeeper Hortêncio Neiva to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gargau's Nuno Pinho got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gargau's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
