Angelo Guedes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Denílson Meira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Walmir Leme in the 10th minute of play forced AA Custelense's goalkeeper Genílson Mazza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Denílson Meira in the 11th minute of play forced VegetalFC's goalkeeper Angelo Guedes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 17th minute of the match AA Custelense got a corner. VegetalFC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Giovanni Brasil ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Giovanni Brasil got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Angelo Guedes quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. When Edgard Guedes fell near the penalty area in the 19th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored VegetalFC's protests and gave Edgard Guedes a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, VegetalFC's Edgard Guedes got a free kick in the 19th minute. VegetalFC's Angelo Guedes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Denílson Meira in the 21st minute of play. Denílson Meira struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Angelo Guedes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for AA Custelense. When AA Custelense's Denílson Meira in the 27th minute got a chance for a shot 27th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Delfim Vasconcelos managed to get in a good position for a shot. AA Custelense's supporters rose to their feet, but Delfim Vasconcelos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Angelo Guedes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 36th minute the ball was on its way in behind VegetalFC's goalkeeper Angelo Guedes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 42 minutes into the match, VegetalFC's goal looked a bit too open when Delfim Vasconcelos came free, but Angelo Guedes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 45th minute, Giovanni Brasil sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and VegetalFC's Angelo Guedes didn't even have to move. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Giovanni Brasil took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 61st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Angelo Guedes. VegetalFC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. When AA Custelense's Denílson Meira in the 66th minute got a chance for a shot 66th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The audience thought a goal was coming when Delfim Vasconcelos got free with Angelo Guedes in the 72nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The crowd rose to their feet as Denílson Meira kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Angelo Guedes. That made the score 0-1 in the 74 minute of play. VegetalFC's Angelo Guedes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benedito Maia in the 80th minute of play. Delfim Vasconcelos's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Angelo Guedes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 87th minute of play. If Denílson Meira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Delfim Vasconcelos in the 91stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Angelo Guedes, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Walmir Leme hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. Denílson Meira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Angelo Guedes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. AA Custelense's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
