They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Denílson Meira to make the kick off. The Caverna dos Dragões fans' excitement grew in the 84th match minute when Caverna dos Dragões's Chicão Montenegro looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Caverna dos Dragões's Jorginho Nogueira proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 87th minute of the match, managed to save Caverna dos Dragões from getting a goal against them. Jorginho Nogueira was out of position in the 89 minute of play, and Denílson Meira capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Denílson Meira really showed his touch with that goal: 2-3. In the 94th minute, Zé Carlos da Cunha made a precise shot to the right of Genílson Mazza. AA Custelense's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-3. AA Custelense's Genílson Mazza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Chicão Montenegro in the 100th minute of play. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
