Angelo Guedes was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 8th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Víktor Donato. Walmir Leme fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rafa Costa having to interfere. 18 minutes into the match, VegetalFC's goalkeeper Angelo Guedes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Zé Augusto Guerra. After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, Dé de Barros managed to get in a good position for a shot. Reggae Bullz FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Dé de Barros was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Angelo Guedes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Walmir Leme received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. In the 42nd minute Allan de Medeiros shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rafa Costa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rafa Costa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Walmir Leme, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. Isaltino Cardozo's late challenge caught a VegetalFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Isaltino Cardozo helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Reggae Bullz FC getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Isaltino Cardozo hit a great ball. In the 46th minute, Walmir Leme got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After the first half VegetalFC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Dé de Barros made the kick off in the second half. Angelo Guedes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dé de Barros in the 51st minute of the match. Tomé Antunes didn't quite understand what happened when in the 60 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. The supporters of VegetalFC booed when Reggae Bullz FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nuno Lira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nuno Lira charged in rather forcefully in the 67th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nuno Lira the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 67 played minutes Reggae Bullz FC got a freekick which was hit by Nuno Lira. Tomé Antunes was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 68th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. When Allan de Medeiros came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the VegetalFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Allan de Medeiros couldn't finish the play. Walmir Leme sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 81 minutes into the match, VegetalFC's goal looked a bit too open when Dé de Barros came free, but Angelo Guedes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rafa Costa made a fantastic save in the 90th minute, when Allan de Medeiros sent off a good shot on target. After a defensive mix-up in Reggae Bullz FC's zone, Walmir Leme stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rafa Costa came out of the goal and Walmir Leme tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rafa Costa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Walmir Leme, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. VegetalFC played a much better game than Reggae Bullz FC and deserved their victory. The Reggae Bullz FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
