Noel Alves's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 24thth minute, Jorginho Nogueira skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Severino Mineiro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Zoio FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Severino Mineiro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jorginho Nogueira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 27th minute Zé Carlos da Cunha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Renatinho Salles saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Zoio FC defense, Chicão Montenegro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Renatinho Salles. The Zoio FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Renatinho Salles should have stopped the shot. Renatinho Salles showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Chicão Montenegro, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Noel Alves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Jorginho Nogueira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rodolfo Lopes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jorginho Nogueira having to interfere. With his leg Jorginho Nogueira managed to avoid a goal in the 39thth minute, when Zoio FC's Noel Alves fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 40th minute the ball was on its way in behind Caverna dos Dragões's goalkeeper Jorginho Nogueira, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Filipe Marques struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Jorginho Nogueira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Zoio FC. Remo Munhoz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Zé Carlos da Cunha to strike the kick off in the second half. Rodolfo Lopes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jorginho Nogueira read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 52nd minute of play. In the 70th minute, Ricardo Barral made a precise shot to the right of Jorginho Nogueira. Caverna dos Dragões's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. Filipe Marques's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jorginho Nogueira read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 73rd minute of play. Zoio FC's Noel Alves got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Rodolfo Lopes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Albertinho Silva struck a weak shot in the 79th minute. Zoio FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Noel Alves was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 83rd minute Noel Alves shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jorginho Nogueira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jorginho Nogueira stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Noel Alves's shot from short distance in the 86th minute. Jorginho Nogueira didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Noel Alves went, in the 88th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-1 was the resulting score. If Rodolfo Lopes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Severino Mineiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
