AA Custelense's Denílson Meira got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 23 minutes into the match, Hot Dog's goal looked a bit too open when Amílton Trevisan came free, but Andrézinho Gaspar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 28 minutes, Hudson Corrêa made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. AA Custelense's Genílson Mazza tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Genílson Mazza took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hudson Corrêa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Pedro Luís Albuquerque had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Denílson Meira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Andrézinho Gaspar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

After 52 minutes AA Custelense's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Zé Pedro Campidelis who took care of the corner kick. Zé Pedro Campidelis made a great header on Hot Dog's corner, it was just that AA Custelense's Genílson Mazza managed to reach the ball for a save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Denílson Meira in the 57th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Andrézinho Gaspar saved Hot Dog from getting behind. Gonçalo Gonçalves charged in rather forcefully in the 59th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gonçalo Gonçalves the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Hot Dog's Gonçalo Gonçalves got a free kick in the 59th minute. AA Custelense's Denílson Meira got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The Hot Dog supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Hot Dog would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
