With a little luck, Fanfa FC's Anselmo Linhares got control of the ball when Rômulo Quadros tried to sneak it across the goal line. Anselmo Linhares stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rômulo Quadros's shot from short distance in the 21st minute. 21 minutes into the game, Geovânio Mazza was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Fanfa FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lança Negra the free kick. Geovânio Mazza kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. After 25 played minutes Fanfa FC got a freekick which was hit by Célio Cavalcante. Célio Cavalcante took the ball and in the 33 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Frank Cunha. Frank Cunha dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. When the match had gone on for 39 minutes, Júlio Ribeiro put it in 0-3 from a short distance just to the right of Frank Cunha. After the first half Fanfa FC were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rômulo Quadros made a kick off. Fanfa FC's Cristóvão Porto got his second yellow card of the match in the 51st minute. The referee ordered Cristóvão Porto off the ground. After a rather tough play, Fanfa FC's Cristóvão Porto got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Célio Cavalcante fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frank Cunha having to interfere. After having played for 68 minutes, Geovânio Mazza managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fanfa FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Geovânio Mazza was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a little luck, Lança Negra's Frank Cunha got control of the ball when Célio Cavalcante tried to sneak it across the goal line. Célio Cavalcante sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Célio Cavalcante received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Frank Cunha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Geovânio Mazza scored 0-5 in the 91st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Frank Cunha, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When the match was over Fanfa FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Lança Negra throughout the match.
