The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. 15 minutes into the match, Rangers fc's Sebastião de Medeiros sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Guga Donatello narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bruninho Travassos in the 18th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jano Quirino prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jano Quirino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bruninho Travassos, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Jano Quirino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bruninho Travassos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Corte FC's Guga Donatello proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to save Corte FC from getting a goal against them. Breno Couto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Guga Donatello having to interfere. Sebastião de Medeiros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Guga Donatello tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jano Quirino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Laércio Ramos in the 42nd minute of play. If Bruninho Travassos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sebastião de Medeiros recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bruninho Travassos stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Laércio Ramos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Corte FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Laércio Ramos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jano Quirino breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Though ot was a great shot Rangers fc's keeper Jano Quirino was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. In the 81st minute the ball was on its way in behind Rangers fc's goalkeeper Jano Quirino, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Sebastião de Medeiros, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 82 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Guga Donatello was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Breno Couto struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Guga Donatello didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rangers fc. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
