Marco da Fonseca hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Franklin do Vale was a little too slow when Edu Bueno got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 35th minute. The score was now 1-0. Edu Bueno let the left foot speak when in front of goal in the 39th minute shot 2-0 at rihgt post. When Marco da Fonseca fell near the penalty area in the 46th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Criciúma EC's protests and gave Marco da Fonseca a yellow card for diving instead. In the 47th minute, Marco da Fonseca hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Edu Bueno made the kick off in the second half. Edu Bueno scored 3-0 in the 52nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Franklin do Vale, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Edu Bueno hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. 60 minutes into the match, Criciúma EC's goalkeeper Telmo Sousa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eliseu Valadares. Franklin do Vale made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edu Bueno in the 84th minute of play. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Criciúma EC had played much better football throughout.
