He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Metropolitano's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Mathias Moreira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oscar Paraibano having to interfere. Vicente Tinoco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 16 minutes, Vicente Tinoco managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chute Certo FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vicente Tinoco was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Vicente Tinoco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Luís Guilherme Vargas fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Metropolitano's protests and gave Luís Guilherme Vargas a yellow card for diving instead. In the 20th match minute, Metropolitano was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luís Guilherme Vargas to maneuver through the defense. Adelino de Godoi charged in rather forcefully in the 24th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. When the match had gone on for 29 minutes, Vicente Tinoco put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Oscar Paraibano. When Mathias Moreira came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Chute Certo FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mathias Moreira couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Metropolitano getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Benjamim Neiva hit a great ball. Adelino de Godoi hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. 45 minutes into the match, Chute Certo FC's Francisco Cosme broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Vicente Tinoco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After the first half Chute Certo FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

In the 53rd minute, Leandro Arruda made a precise shot to the right of Luiz Fernando Luz. Chute Certo FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Vicente Tinoco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oscar Paraibano having to interfere. Leandro Arruda blasted a shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Luiz Fernando Luz having to make a save. Luiz Fernando Luz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leandro Arruda, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Oscar Paraibano was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Vicente Tinoco showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-2 in the 64 minute of play. After having played for 70 minutes, Wágner Braga managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Metropolitano's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wágner Braga was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Luiz Fernando Luz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leandro Arruda in the 72nd minute of the match. If Wágner Braga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. A collision led to Chute Certo FC getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. André Luís de Sena hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wágner Braga in the 76th minute of play forced Chute Certo FC's goalkeeper Luiz Fernando Luz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 86th minute, Vicente Tinoco got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Oscar Paraibano made a fantastic save in the 93rd minute, when Mathias Moreira sent off a good shot on target. André Luís de Sena received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Oscar Paraibano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
