After some fancy dribbling in the 3rd minute, Valdomiro Cordeiro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Statter FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Valdomiro Cordeiro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Túlio Nóbrega breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Statter FC's Valdomiro Cordeiro got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Maurinho Soeiro took the ball and in the 14 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Túlio Nóbrega. Túlio Nóbrega dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Gerson Mineiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pedro Augusto de Azevedo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match had gone on for 21 minutes, Pedro Augusto de Azevedo took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Gerson Mineiro to make any attempt to save it. Valdomiro Cordeiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Valdomiro Cordeiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 35th minute, Flavinho Viana fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Gerson Mineiro, passed just outside the right post. Maurinho Soeiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Túlio Nóbrega having to interfere. Túlio Nóbrega made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ricardo de Salles in the 43rd minute of play. 46 minutes into the match, Statter FC's goalkeeper Gerson Mineiro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Flavinho Viana. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Pedro Augusto de Azevedo made the kick off in the second half. Túlio Nóbrega made an important save on a dangerous shot by Valdomiro Cordeiro in the 51st minute. Valdomiro Cordeiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 55 minutes, Maurinho Soeiro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Statter FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Maurinho Soeiro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Statter FC's Maurinho Soeiro slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Túlio Nóbrega. That made the score 1-2 after 57 minutes of play. When Pedro Augusto de Azevedo came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the The Ducks fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pedro Augusto de Azevedo couldn't finish the play. In the 63rd minute, Luiz Fernando Peixoto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A nice corner shot did that Carlos Eduardo Oliveira got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Túlio Nóbrega quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. If Valdomiro Cordeiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Maurinho Soeiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Valdomiro Cordeiro was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 74th minute. Statter FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. If Valdomiro Cordeiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Flavinho Viana sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gerson Mineiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pedro Augusto de Azevedo in the 86th minute of play. Gerson Mineiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Flavinho Viana, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. If Flavinho Viana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gerson Mineiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Flavinho Viana in the 93rd minute of the match. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Statter FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
