Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Jamanacari FC's Pedro Paulo Mendonça started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th match minute, Statter FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Agnaldo Galvão to maneuver through the defense. In the 5th minute of the match Pedro Paulo Mendonça shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gerson Mineiro showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Statter FC's zone, Pedro Paulo Mendonça stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gerson Mineiro came out of the goal and Pedro Paulo Mendonça tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 9 played minutes Statter FC got a freekick which was hit by Pedro Saldanha. After having played for 10 minutes, Pedro Paulo Mendonça managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Jamanacari FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pedro Paulo Mendonça was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 19 minutes into the game, Statter FC's Valdomiro Cordeiro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Claudinei Carioca made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emílio Santos in the 28th minute of play forced Statter FC's goalkeeper Gerson Mineiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Agnaldo Galvão hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. In the 32nd minute Valdomiro Cordeiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Claudinei Carioca saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 34 played minutes Statter FC got a freekick which was hit by Cristóvão Dante. Gerson Mineiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emílio Santos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Pedro Paulo Mendonça came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Jamanacari FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pedro Paulo Mendonça couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Jamanacari FC booed when Statter FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jailson Secco didn't get a good kick on the ball. Adalberto Salles who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 40thth minute tested the skills of Gerson Mineiro when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 43 minutes into the game, Ricardo de Salles was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Statter FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Jamanacari FC the free kick. In the 44th minute, Ricardo de Salles hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 46 minutes, Valdomiro Cordeiro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Statter FC and the Jamanacari FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 46th match minute, Statter FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valdomiro Cordeiro to maneuver through the defense. After the first half Statter FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Maurinho Soeiro made the kick off in the second half. Arlindo Nogueira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Pedro Paulo Mendonça had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Arlindo Nogueira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Valdomiro Cordeiro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Claudinei Carioca having to make a save. Arlindo Nogueira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Gerson Mineiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 71 minutes of play Statter FC's Ricardo de Salles was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 72nd minute, Ricardo de Salles hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 73 minutes into the game, Emílio Santos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Jamanacari FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Statter FC the free kick. Arlindo Nogueira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gerson Mineiro having to interfere. If Wanderson Veloso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Emílio Santos's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gerson Mineiro was relentless in the 90th minute of the game. 92 minutes into the match, Statter FC's goal looked a bit too open when Arlindo Nogueira came free, but Gerson Mineiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Arlindo Nogueira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gerson Mineiro having to interfere. Pedro Paulo Mendonça sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the final whistle went the supporters of Statter FC were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant Jamanacari FC side.
