With an extended leg and a bit of luck Celsinho Lopes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 16 minutes into the game, one of Querida:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. When the match had been going on for 19 minutes, Senhor da Erva's Emerson Gomes got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Luisão Paiva. After 23 played minutes Querida got a freekick which was hit by Horácio Matorin. Sidney Zanette blasted a shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Celsinho Lopes having to make a save. In the 30thth minute of the game Sidney Zanette who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Senhor da Erva's Celsinho Lopes was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the match clock showed 35 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Sidney Zanette sped through Senhor da Erva's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Celsinho Lopes. In the 38thth minute of the game Sidney Zanette who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Senhor da Erva's Celsinho Lopes was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Sidney Zanette received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Celsinho Lopes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half Querida were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Didi Baiano stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Percy Diniz hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. Celsinho Lopes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sidney Zanette in the 61st minute of play. Vânderson Peres sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 72nd play minutes Sidney Zanette shot 1-3, a short shot which went by Celsinho Lopes and just under the crossbar into goal. Percy Diniz kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Senhor da Erva's Enéas Furtado got a free kick in the 80th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vânderson Peres got free with Celsinho Lopes in the 87th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Luisão Paiva showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Giuseppe Recife, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sidney Zanette in the 92nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Celsinho Lopes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpected shot in the 97th minute by Sidney Zanette got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. When the match was over Querida could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Senhor da Erva throughout the match.
