Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The audience thought a goal was coming when Doriva Rezende got free with Vágner do Valle in the 7th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 9 minutes into the game, one of Curitiba FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 11th minute there was a penalty for Família Piva olé. Bruninho Tróia stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Maicon Peixoto. 1-1. In the 16th minute, Benê Furtado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 19th minute, Doriva Rezende got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Dalmo Bueno had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Família Piva olé's Vágner do Valle got control of the ball when Doriva Rezende tried to sneak it across the goal line. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 48th minute, Doriva Rezende got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ramiro Aguiar to strike the kick off in the second half. Vágner do Valle stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Doriva Rezende's shot from short distance in the 53rd minute. If Luís Paulo da Fonseca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Maicon Peixoto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ramiro Aguiar in the 63rd minute of the match. The supporters of Família Piva olé booed when Curitiba FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Caetano Branco didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Família Piva olé's Edu Pereira got a free kick in the 80th minute. Dalmo Bueno received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Vágner do Valle tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Edu Pereira kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. Dalmo Bueno struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Vágner do Valle didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Curitiba FC.
